Roy Joseph Roux, Sr. on Friday, November 26, 2010. Son of the late August W. Roux, Sr. and Mari W. Roux. Beloved husband of Rosemary Carrie Roux, father of Roy, Jr., (Sharon), Rhonda R. (Dennis) and Ryant J. Roux, grandfather of Melanie (JB) ,Allison Roux and Ashleigh Cahill, great grandfather of Conner Ciesiensky, brother-in-law of Sylvia Chatelain (Carl), brother of the late August W. Roux, Jr. and Doris R. Lapara. Survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Roux was a parishioner of St. Agnes, retired from Louisiana Transit and was a member of April Fools Carnival Club. Age 80 years. A lifelong resident of Jefferson for 59 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will be private. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimer.com.
