Russ Jerome Savage

Russ Jerome Savage entered the arms of his heavenly father on Sunday, December 18, 2011 after a bout with cancer. He was born January 10, 1952 to Carlisle E. “Doc” Savage and Jean Russ Savage. He leaves behind his wife, Mercedes Savage; his daughter, Suzanne Ashley Savage; his brothers, Carlisle E. Savage Sr., Michael W. Savage Sr. (wife, Linda), Steven C. Savage and Gerald G. Savage; his nephews, Paul Falgoust (wife, Linda), Michael W. Savage Jr. (Robyn) and Randolph Theodore Bosch (wife, Melissa); his niece, Lauren E. Savage; three great nephews, Michael W. Savage III, Eli Bosch and Everett Bosch; two great nieces, Ella Bosch and Emersyn Bosch and his longtime family friend, Frank Rumore Jr.

Russ graduated from John F. Kennedy Sr. High School and received a bachelor’s degree in zoology from SLU. He also served six years in the U.S. Army reserve in defense of his country.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
