Sandra Altobello Lucas

Sandra Altobello Lucas, age 81, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Lucas. Mother of Joe Lucas of Los Angeles, CA and New Orleans, LA and Laurie Lucas. Daughter of the late Gus Altobello Sr. and Olga Altobello. Sister of Pat Altobello Corona (the late Joe) and Gus Altobello Jr. (Catherine). Aunt of Christine Corona, Gus Altobello III, Katie Altobello and the late Joseph Corona III. Also survived by her beloved yorkie, Chloe.

Mrs. Lucas was a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy and LSU School of Nursing. She was a retired Registered Nurse and was a parishioner of St. Philip Neri Church. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed exploring the world with her husband. Mrs. Lucas was a very devoted, loving wife and mother and she will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Friday, June 19, 2026, beginning at 11:30 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 1:30 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Mount Carmel Academy.
