Scott Michael Eiswirth

Scott was preceded in death by his nurturing mother, Carol Ann Verlander. He is immensely missed by his beloved son, Liam Joseph Eiswirth(Julia), his father, Kenneth Wayne Eiswirth(Jane), his biological parents: Janet McCarta and David Waters, his siblings: Candise Waters(Jeremiah) and Emily McCarta(Logan), and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as a multitude of lifelong loving friends.

He graduated from Baton Rouge High School, where he discovered his love for theatrical technology and started finding his passions in life. Scott loved the stage, not being on it, but instead working it, focusing on the elements that come together to create experiences (i.e., sound, lighting, effects). Later, attending Louisiana State University, he enrolled in classes for technical theatre and eventually dropped out to provide for his family, but more specifically, his cherished son Liam.

Being an artist isn't easy, but for Scott, it was his calling, the reason he loved, the reason he smiled, and the reason he pursued like-minded good people to be around. He had a passion for DJing, his favorite genres being Trance and House. A crowd coming together to dance and enjoy the waves of music was Scott's (AKA “Freckle”) version of home, especially when he created the atmosphere.

He loved collecting DVDs, Video games, and their associated merchandise, vinyls, and an assortment of Figurines and Sci-Fi books. Watching LSU games, DJing for Sugar Shack Radio, and spending time with those closest to him were how he spent the best parts of his life.

Above all, Scott loved his son Liam, the pinnacle of who and what made Scott into not only the person he wanted to be but the father he needed to be, whether it was keeping “negative” influences out, losing and gaining jobs, or moving house to house, he was prepared to do it all for Liam (AKA “Freckle Jr”).

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 2:00 PM. A memorial gathering will follow at the funeral home from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM. A repass will be held at Scott's house following the funeral home services.
