Selma Louise Dick Schmidt Passed away on Saturday July 12, 2014 at 4:32 p.m. Beloved wife of the late Irvin Henry Schmidt Sr., after having shared 59 years of Sacred Marriage. Loving mother of Irvin H. Schmidt Jr. (and wife, Amy) and Dorothy S. Sossamon (and husband, John). Devoted grandmother of Rebecca S. Kenawell (and husband, Jason) and Scott Schmidt (and wife, Taffy). Proud great-grandmother of Shelby and Juliet Kenawell. Daughter of the late Caroline Reimher and Frederick Dick. Sister of the late Frederick, Emile and Eugene Dick. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Schmidt was a former member of the King's Daughters and Sons, a lifelong member of Jackson Ave. Evangelical Church and will always be loved and remembered by all knew her. Aged 95 years, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 41 years. Private Services were held. Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
