Sharon Grosch Donato

She is preceded in death by daughters Laura and Lisa Donato, parents Joseph Grosch and Mary Simmons, and sister Mary Sprague.

She is survived by her husband, Francisco Donato; daughter Danielle Donato; sons Don Donato (Connie) and Todd Donato (Malissa); sisters JoAnn Casso and Anna Mae Welch (Terry); grandchildren Nicole Donato, Victoria Cokel (Josh), Ryan Donato, Chelsie Donato, Noel Hullfish, Lauren Hullfish, Jade Donato, Isabella Donato, 11 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sharon was known for her larger-than-life personality and her unwavering love for life and her family. A lifelong resident of the Greater New Orleans area, she graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus and carried her values of faith and family throughout her life. She loved to travel, cook, and picked up painting in the later half of her life. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home on Friday, September 26 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by mass at 1:00 p.m.
