BENNETT Shirley Ann Bordelon Bennett passed away on Wednesday June 27, 2012. Beloved wife of her devoted husband, Robert Curtis Bennett after 58 years of marriage. Loving mother of Robert C. Bennett Jr. (and wife, Karla), Dawn Faust (and husband, Fritz) and Randal Bennett (and wife, Vicki). Sister of Bertha LaBorde, Pearl Blair, Adeline DeWally (and husband, Edmond), Anita May (and husband, Joe) and the late Elster "Bud" Bordelon, Lehman Bordelon Jr., Mary Lemoine and Lola DeSselle. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Shirley devoted her life to taking care of her family and will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her loving smile. Aged 77 years, a native of Bordelonville, Louisiana, was educated and formerly resided in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of River Ridge, Louisiana for the past 49 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana on Monday July 2, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 3, 2012 at which time the Mass will be celebrated in the Funeral Home Chapel.
