Shirley Claire Meadows, age 86, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012. Mrs. Meadows was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of the late James T. Meadows, Jr. for 63 years. Mother of Judy Easley (the late Adrian), Joy Vullo (Larry) and Shari Taylor (Jerry). Daughter of the late William L. Lewis and Beulah Dupuy Lewis. Grandmother of Peggy Crouch (Ronnie), Donna Tomba (John), Kristy Adams (Louie), Chelsi, Karli, Darsi, Brody, Halli and Grady Taylor. Great grandmother of Shelby and Isabel Adams and Jacob Tomba. Step-great grandmother of Callie, Lauren and Taylor Crouch. Sister of Monita Cradic. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Meadows was a member of the American Legion Post 175 Ladies Auxiliary and was a Girl Scout Leader for more than 20 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday, May 11, 2012 beginning at 9:30 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
