Starlett Ann Rome

Starlett Ann Rome age 63 and a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA passed after a 5 year battle with stage 4 lung cancer and brain metastasis on Tuesday, August 31, 2026. Starlett was a LPN for over 30 years alongside Dr. James Tebbe, Ochsner Hospital, and Visiting Angels.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Jaslyn Elaine Rome (Connor Smith); her father, Gerald Rome; stepmother, Fay Rome; uncle Bob Collins (Gail); sisters, Rhonda Anderson (Jeff), Robin Wilson, and Tina Rome; brothers, Eric Anderson (Liesl), and Michael Rome (Lena); and two beautiful grandsons Daniel Joseph Rome and Ezra James Smith the true loves of her life, and her beloved dog and companion, Mia. Along with many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other relatives and friends She is preceded in death by her mother Ruth Collins Rome; brother Rick P. Rome and sister Christy Anderson and a host of Aunt, Uncles and Cousins.

The Rome family would like to express their gratitude to Candice, Jane, Susan, Ashley and all other nurses and aids of Compassus Hospice.

She will be interred in St. Louis # 3 Cemetery, New Orleans, LA
