She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William “Bill” J. Thomas and Mary Mayeux Thomas. Survived by her loving husband, Sidney E. Paisant, children, Paul J. Susan was a graduate of Riverdale High School in 1975 and embarked on a career in the insurance industry for 47 years retiring after 25 years from LWCC.
Susan loved big and with her whole heart. She adored her boys and was thankful every day for the love and loyalty of her devoted husband, Sid. In recent years, she found immense joy in her newest role as “Grammie,” cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren and embracing that special bond with all her heart.
Second only to her family was her love for the beach and for having a good time. Even in the midst of her medical battles, she never stopped dreaming — always planning the next cruise, beach trip, or getaway with those she loved most. Susan had a big personality that filled every room she entered, bringing laughter, warmth, and light to everyone around her. Although she is gone far too soon, Susan knew how to live life and was determined to live life to the fullest. She treated everyone as if they were family and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
