Theresa B. Martin

Theresa Rita Bacile Martin passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, November 9, 2015. She was 79 years old. Beloved wife of Earl Martin Jr. for 59 years. Loving mother of Steven Martin (Beth), Dawn Shulin (Steven), and Nikki Gonzales (Michaele). Grandmother of Kerilyn, Michel, Ashley, and Emily. Great-grandmother of Kaitlyn, Caleb, Aleksander, Liam, Adalyn, and Bobby III. Daughter of the late Antonio and Migoletta Bacile. Sister of Josephine Still and the late Carmella Rodriguez, Ignatius Bacile, Margaret Cross, Anthony Bacile, Mary Creech, and Gloria McCoy. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and especially her niece Stephanie Bonnet, who selflessly cared for Theresa. Theresa was a native of New Orleans and resident of Jefferson Parish for over 45 years, and had recently been a resident of Metairie Manor. She devoted her life to caring for her husband and loving family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Saturday afternoon, November 14, 2015 at 1:00. Visitation will begin at 11:00 in the morning.
