-Matt Dinniman
Troy Joseph Schnell was what every one of us should strive to be. He was caring, kind, courageous, fair, hard working, compassionate, helpful and most of all he loved deeply.
Troy was the best father, husband, son, brother, caregiver, lover, and friend anyone could ever hope to know. He touched countless lives with his kindness, strength, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His passions included good books, great music, exceptional rum, and our time at the cabin.
He took immense pride in his work with the Stagehands of I.A.T.S.E. Local #39 and in the motion picture industry. His extraordinary work ethic, ingenuity, professionalism, and leadership earned him the admiration and respect of all who worked alongside him.
To his children, he was a legend. To his friends, he was always there. To his wife, he was everything. Even in death, our hero is still helping others - through organ and tissue donation.
Troy leaves behind his devoted wife, Debbie; his loving children, Kasey Schnell Finch (& Cody) and Jessica Schnell Duncan (& Andrew); his mother, Eileen; his siblings, Todd, Rene, and Kelly; and a vast multitude of family members and dear friends who loved him deeply and will miss him beyond words.
Troy spent his days loving his wife, laughing over books, music and drinks with his kids, and being cooler than you could ever hope to be. We expect he shall continue that last part, even in death.
Celebration of Troy's life will be held at the cabin:

“DON’T THINK OF IT AS DYING,” said Death. “JUST THINK OF IT AS LEAVING EARLY TO AVOID THE RUSH.”
-Terry Pratchett
