Walter "Bubber" Blessing

Walter “Bubber” Blessing, age 85, died peacefully on Saturday, October 9, 2010. He was a life-long resident of Metairie, LA. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rita Antoine Blessing. Father of Craig Blessing (Erin), Lisa Baynham (Pat), Jay Blessing (Christi), Lori Blessing Dudoussat (Ned) and Kimberly Bell. Grandfather of Ryan and Scott Blessing, Jonathan and Alexander Baynham and Megan Bell. Son of the late Walter and Helen Bozant Blessing. Also preceded in death by his sibling, Ruth Blessing Rohrbacker. Loving uncle of Pam Davis. He was a member of Good Ole Metairie Boys, Terrace Corner Marching Club and Cher Amis at St. Benilde Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Visitation from 11:00 am until mass time. Interment will be private at a later date.
