Warren Cyril Gannuch

January 18, 1941 – January 11, 2024
Obituary of Warren Cyril Gannuch
IN THE CARE OF

Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home

Warren Cyril Gannuch peacefully passed away in his sleep the morning of January 11, 2024, concluding a courageous battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents Nunzio Joseph Gannuch and Raphael E Altobello Gannuch and his brother Sal Joseph Gannuch. Warren is survived by his beloved and beautiful wife of 55 years, Carol Pritchard Gannuch, his two daughters Carrie, Sandra, and his son Cy (Stephanie). He leaves behind three grandchildren Madison, Everly, and Emmeline; his brother Donald (Diane), and 4 Nephews.

Affectionately known as “The Weasel,” Warren was a proud New Orleans native who spent the majority of his life residing in Metairie. Growing up during the prime of New Orleans, he graduated from De La Salle high school in 1959. He “joyfully” attended Louisiana State University and knew the disciplinary dean on a personal basis. Shortly after his time in Baton Rouge Warren respectively served in the Louisiana Air National Guard.

Warren had some of the greatest life long friends a man can have; just to name a few of the many Wifford, Jay, Snake, Bird, Bulldog, Aj, Pete, Anthony, Bubby..…. oh the stories he would reminisce about over the years.

Warren dedicated his career to real estate brokerage, earning the love and respect of many. A conservationist, he found solace in the woods and on the water. Warren was a great listener and a quick witted jokester with a dry sense of humor that left an indelible mark on many. As he rests in peace, one can imagine him casting a line in the Louisiana marsh, embracing the tranquility he loved. He will be dearly missed.
