

God has brought home a good man. Wesley David Clampitt, II passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017, spending his last days surrounded by many he loved and many that loved him. David is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Karen Klotz Clampitt, and two loving children, Colleen Leah Clampitt (Edward Thomas Garcia) and Wesley Kyle Clampitt. He leaves behind his sisters and stepmother who adored him; Michelle Silvey, Kymberly Felder, Courtney Allen, and Sally Clampitt. David is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Wesley Clampitt, his mother, Martha Patrick Clampitt and his sister, Kathy Moebus. He will be remembered by his extended family through marriage who David considered to be his own. David was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie. He was most proud of his work as an electrician working for several companies in the New Orleans area. He loved to fish and just be on the water. He also enjoyed visiting and experiencing new places. David is a veteran of the Armed Services. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at DIVINE MERCY CHURCH, 4337 Sal Lentini Boulevard, Kenner, on Friday morning, December 1, 2017, at 11:30 am. Visitation will begin in church at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Lake Lawn Cemetery.
