William Howard Helmer Jr.

William Howard Helmer, Jr. passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 with his loving family at his side. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Guadalupe Cuellar Helmer. Loving father of William Howard Helmer III (Mary), James Albert Helmer (Gloria) and Linda Helmer Reed (Arthur). Grandfather of William Henri Helmer, Gabrielle Ann Reed and Isabelle Marie Reed. Son of the late Cecilia Ackerman Helmer and William Howard Helmer, Sr. Brother of Calvin Helmer, Cecilia Matherne and Cindy Cazenavette.

Age 77, a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Metairie for over 46 years. William retired from the United States Department of Agriculture National Finance Center after 34 years of service and he served his country in the United States Air Force Military Police.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at 3:00 PM at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, and Metairie.
