He leaves behind his beloved, beautiful wife and best friend Nina Wells Brady Hendriksen.
He is survived by his three children, Paulette Hendriksen; William Jr. and wife Mary; Kenneth and wife Helen. Along with three stepchildren, Harold Brady III, Lisa Brady Pitts (Dennis), and Carla Brady Anderson (Keith). Along with 14 grandchildren and 12 great children.
He also leaves behind three brothers and two sisters, Kenneth, John, David, Mary Ellen and preceded in death Judith.
Bill was born to Norman and Laura Hendriksen in Chicago, IL, and entered the U.S. Navy in 1958. His working career started in California with the Post Office until he returned to the Chicago area, where he worked as an Engineer for the Chicago Sun Times newspaper.
In 1984, Bill moved to New Orleans where he worked as an Operations Manager at the Riverwalk, Canal Place, and retired from the Esplanade Mall.

Much gratitude for wonderful times with special friends “Big Don” Desroche (Gracie), Jerry Berggren (Cathy), “Gimpy Marv” Jerstead (Lisa), “Old Goat” Mack Perry (Earline), “Race Track Pete” Lipps, Lenny Brondum, and not to be forgotten Patti Hendriksen.
As an avid fan of the Saints and LSU, Bill’s wish to anyone attending his service to dress in casual LSU or Saints gear. GEAUX T-I-G-E-R-S, GO SAINTS!
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Metairie, LA. The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
