William "Boots" John Maloney, Jr.

William "Boots" John Maloney Jr., age 86, of Metairie, Louisiana passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was the son of the late William J. Maloney, Sr., and Irma Cullen Maloney. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, June Monjure Maloney, and is survived by his 5 children, Steve Maloney (Becky), William Maloney III, Michael Maloney (Allison), Mark Maloney (Annette), and Shani Hagelberger (Ronnie), six grandchildren Melissa Wallace (Grant), Stephen Maloney (Shelby), Ryan Maloney, Megan Maloney, Peyton Maloney, Holden Hagelberger, two step-grandchildren, Amie Waguespack (Ollie) and Gregory Henriques (Jill). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Grant Wallace, Colin Maloney, Charlie June Maloney, Sam Maloney, and Max Maloney, and four step-great-grandchildren, Jacob Waguespack, Addison Waguespack, Gianna Henriques, and Grayson Henriques, cousins, Edward Cullen and Audrey Cullen.

Boots was a graduate of St. Aloysius, and a lover of all things Saints, LSU, and Fats Domino. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Visiting Angels of Mandeville, Heart of Hospice of Mandeville, and East Jefferson Hospital Wound Care Center for their generous and loving care.

A Visitation for William will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will immediately follow at St. Patrick No. 2, 5000 Canal St., New Orleans, Louisiana.
