

William Tuckerson was born on May 9, 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was one of five children of the late Fred and Audrey Tuckerson. He was preceded in death by his son, William Jr., and is survived by his four siblings: Fred Jr., Audrey Tuckerson Roy, Lawrence and Albert. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized in the Christian Faith at Petty AME ZION Church. William graduated from Walter L. Cohen Senior High School and Culinary School of Cooking. He was under the guidance of some of the best Chefs in New Orleans. His work history includes Kobbs and Commander’s Palace, Head Chef at the Court of Two Sisters, for over 20 years, which he represented at the Morial Convention Center with his Grand Art: Display of Food.
William worked as Head Chef at the Orleans Parish Prison under the administration of Sheriff Charles Foti, and was regularly featured on the Early Morning Edition of Channel 4. Cooking was his passion. Numerous Awards were received, and he was very proud of his accomplishments, but what her cherished most was his time at the Parish Prison during the Holiday Seasons, when he was involved in cooking and feeding the elderly of Greater New Orleans. Due to illness, for the past five years, he has been under the care of his sister, Ann, and brother-in-law, Carlton. William knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
On Wednesday, November 1st, God dispatched an Angel to claim one of His Own. We will miss you Dearly.
