

William Aloysius “Billy” Yochum, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went home to the Lord on February 9, 2025. He was born on January 29, 1941 and was a longtime resident of Harahan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Yochum and Lillian Duhe’ Yochum.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Judith Reisgen Yochum, children, Margaret Caruso (Chris), Gregory Yochum (Ann), Christopher Yochum, and Benjamin Yochum, grandchildren, Krissa, Tiffany, Nicholas, and Joshua Yochum, and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his devoted cousin and friend, Gerry VanHuevel.
Billy was raised in New Orleans and moved to Harahan in 1965. He was a loyal employee of Lindfield, Hunter, and Junius for 37 years. His many talents included woodworking, creating beautiful furniture, and restoring antique cars. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the caregivers at his daughter’s residential care home, Peace of Home EldeResidences in Harahan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 7100 Jefferson Hwy. Harahan, LA. Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 11 AM with a Mass to begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
