Wilma "Kay" Katherine Supple Miller

Wilma Katherine “Kay” Supple Miller, born June 4, 1932, passed away peacefully April 9, 2022. Kay is predeceased in death by her parents, John William Supple, Jr. and Wilma Katherine Dupuy Supple, and her loving husband of 64 years, John Cummins Miller. She is survived by her 6 children, Katherine Miller King, Austin, TX; Thomas Supple Miller, Lafayette, LA; John Michael Miller (Teresa), Carrollton, VA; Molly Miller Carruth, (John), Covington, LA; Ann Miller Schiltz, Tucker, GA; and Nancy Miller Spera (Dave), Metairie, LA. Kay is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Andrew King (Becky), Kate King, Rebecca Miller, Sarah Carruth Crain (Will), Caroline Carruth, John Robert Schiltz, Travis Schiltz, Christopher Raff, James Raff, Grace Spera and Abigail Spera. Kay was born and raised in White Castle, LA and attended Louisiana State University. She met her husband in Donaldsonville as he began his petroleum engineering career. They relocated to and remained in the New Orleans area for the remainder of their lives. Her family would like to thank the Lambeth House Community and staff, as well as the nurses and doctors of Ochsner Hospital for their compassion and care. As her husband, John, predeceased her during the pandemic, funeral services and burial will be held jointly. Visitation will be held on April 19, 2022 at Ourso Funeral Home, 31885 Hwy. 1, White Castle, LA, beginning at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor, 32615 Bowie St., White Castle, LA. Burial services will be held at the White Castle Cemetery immediately following. As is tradition in our family, our father recited the Irish Blessing at all celebrations. So for you MawMaw: “May the road always rise to meet you. And the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warmly upon your face, and the rain fall softly on your fields. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand.” May she rest in peace and forever remain in the hearts of her family. She will be greatly missed.
