Winifred Bryant Butler

Winnie, a retired medical billing clerk, died at Ochsner hospital on November 21. She was (85) years old. She was born in Iuka, MS and grew up in Jackson, MS. She had been a resident of metropolitan New Orleans since 1956.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Lampkin Bryant and Mamie Hodges Jordan; a brother, Franklin R. Bryant; two sisters Virginia Rainwater of Hughes Springs, TX and Carolyn Phillips of Niceville, FL and her beloved Sal Cinquigranno. Winnie is survived by two sons, Daniel Butler of Farmington, AR, and Timothy P. Butler of Jefferson, and two daughters, Cynthia Butler of Marrero and Rebecca Butler of Folsom. She is survived also by seven grandchildren, Jessica, Gabrielle, Ashley, Abigail, T. Paul, Joshua and Sarah (Sam) as well as six great-grandchildren, Madison, Gabriel, Aurora, Elijah, Mako and Addyson.

A visitation will be held on Thursday November 30th 2023 at nine o’clock a.m., followed by a chapel service at eleven o’clock a.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
