Yvonne was born in Brandon, Mississippi and raised in Magee, Mississippi. In 1972 she married her high school sweetheart, Tommy. They lived in Mississippi for three years before settling in the New Orleans area in 1975. She swore she was only staying temporarily, but fell in love with Louisiana and never left. In 1980 she started a career that she loved as a court reporter. Eventually, she started her own court reporting business where she worked until she retired in March 2022. She took great pride in her work and loved her job until the day she retired.
Yvonne was an avid Saints and LSU sports fan. She loved watching, listening, and talking about sports with her sons-in-law. She also had a deep love for reading, which she passed down to her daughters and grandchildren. Above all, she treasured quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Yvonne will always be remembered for being able to make friends in any room she walked into, as well as her infectious laugh. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
The family would like to extend immense gratitude to Dr. Stephen Kantrow and Guardian Angel Hospice, especially Allene and Pam.
