Zoe H. Burris

Zoe H. Burris, 97 of Metairie, LA, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Laketown Village in Kenner, Louisiana. She was born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, the oldest daughter of Lawrence and Irene Wood Habisreitinger. Loving big sister to Norma Jamieson and Peggy Carroll and a devoted Aunt and Great Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was married to Nolan Burris, who preceded her death in 2006. Zoe worked for many years at John Manville doing clerical duties and payroll. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Harahan, Louisiana. The family will hold a private memorial service in her honor later this spring. Interment will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery 4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, Louisiana on January 25, 2023, at 1:00 pm.
