

Agustin J Leon, beloved father, grandfather, and pharmacist, passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 91. He was born on April 13, 1933, in Pinar del Río, Cuba, and most recently lived in Atlantic Beach, FL.
Agustin had a deep passion for prayer and was a devout Roman Catholic. He found solace in his faith and considered it his superpower. Agustin's love for his family knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. His proudest accomplishments were supporting his family in any way he could.
Agustin's journey in life was filled with remarkable experiences. He earned a Doctorate in Pharmacy at the University of Havana and later worked as a pharmacist for almost 40 years in New York City. He also owned a ranch in Asturias, Spain, and formed a cooperative of small stores, which enabled them to compete with larger corporations. Agustin believed in the power of unity and community.
In his free time, Agustin enjoyed indulging in desserts, particularly his favorite ice cream flavor, Baskin Robbins Pralines and Cream. He found joy in listening to Benny More, his favorite musical artist, and watching cowboy/western movies. Agustin also had a passion for baseball and followed his favorite teams closely.
Agustin was a dedicated viewer of business news channels such as Bloomberg, CNBC, and Fox Business. He was always interested in staying informed about the latest financial developments. He was also actively involved in community organizations, including the Knights of Columbus and volunteering at BEAM.
Agustin is survived by his children Mayte, Gerard (Leslie), and Susan, as well as his beloved grandchildren Marcelo, Lorenzo, Lucas, Benjamin, Nicolas, and Samuel. He is also survived by his close family members Mercedes, Francisco, Mercy, Israel, Donnie, Victor, Jordyn, Sydney, Frankie, Cristina, Max, and Stephen and numerous family members here and in Cuba.
Agustin will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to his family, and hard work. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Agustin's favorite quote, "Pa' tras, ni para coger impulso," serves as a reminder to never look back but to always move forward with determination.

6/22 @ 10AM: Graveside Service will be held on June 22 at 10AM Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North (3260 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33135).
