Alicia Brana Mendoza

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Alicia Laura Braña Mendoza on Friday, December 27, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born on September 3, 1951, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Alicia was an extraordinary woman whose life was marked by kindness, generosity, an unwavering spirit, and a little bit of sass.

Anyone who spent time with Alicia knew how proud she was of her time as a teacher, where she touched countless lives with her passion for learning and her deep love for her students. Her commitment to education and her students' personal lives reflected her boundless compassion and belief in the power of knowledge to change lives.

Alicia is survived by her sister, Haydee Isolina Garay; her two daughters, Belén Mendoza and Marina Mendoza; her son-in-law, Marco Antonio White; and her two beloved grandchildren, Sofia Antonia White and Ezekiel Leonel Moghani. She will also be deeply missed by her cherished cat, Charlie, who brought her years of joy and companionship.

We will deeply miss her warmth, wisdom, and infectious laughter, as well as her quick wit and love for all things beauty and fashion. Although her passing leaves a void in our lives, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, learning, and kindness will live on through all those she inspired.

A visitation for Alicia will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 Bird Road, Miami, FL 33155; with a blessing ceremony between 7:00 PM and 8:30PM.

Con profunda tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Alicia Laura Braña Mendoza el viernes 27 de diciembre de 2024, rodeada de su familia. Nacida el 3 de septiembre de 1951 en Buenos Aires, Argentina, Alicia fue una mujer extraordinaria cuya vida estuvo marcada por su bondad, generosidad, un espíritu inquebrantable y un toque de picardía.

Cualquiera que pasara tiempo con Alicia sabía lo orgullosa que estaba de su tiempo como maestra, donde impactó innumerables vidas con su pasión por el aprendizaje y su profundo amor por sus estudiantes. Su compromiso con la educación y con la vida personal de sus alumnos reflejaba su infinita compasión y su creencia en el poder del conocimiento para cambiar vidas.

Alicia deja atrás a su hermana, Haydee Isolina Garay; sus dos hijas, Belén Mendoza y Marina Mendoza; su yerno, Marco Antonio White; y sus dos queridos nietos, Sofía Antonia White y Ezequiel Leonel Moghani. También será profundamente extrañada por su adorado gato, Charlie, quien le brindó años de alegría y compañía.
