

Ana Antonia Borroto, known to her family and friends as "Anita," passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020. She was born in La Esperanza, Cuba June 13, 1938 to the late Sinecio Lopez and Ana Alonso. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Alberto Lopez. She moved to New York when she was 14 years of age and there she married, became a hair stylist and later became a Citizen of the United States. She leaves behind a daughter, Elizabeth Ana Levine, her spouse-Steve, and a son, Jose Manuel Borroto, Jr., and his spouse-Cindy. She had five grandchildren Joey, Jonathan (deceased), Sam, Ruben, and Isaac. She had one great-granddaughter who she absolutely adored and two more great-grandchildren who are on the way! She loved shopping, traveling, Disney World (with her favorite first-cousin Mercedita) as well as iHop and family dinners and get-togethers. We will all greatly miss her cooking, her caring, her generosity and her incessant doting!
Due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, interment will be for immediate family members only on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Dade Memorial Park.
