Barbara L Hobbs

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara L. Hobbs, age 75, who departed this world on Wednesday April 9, 2025. Born on December 27, 1949 in Painesville, Ohio to Katherine Louise and George S. Hobbs. She attended Thomas W. Harvey High School and was a member of the band’s Marching 100. She then went on to graduate from Carnegie Mellon University In Pittsburgh, PA with a major in English.

Barbara brought warmth and creativity into the world from the very beginning. She worked as an artist consultant sharing her love for jewelry, art and all things beautiful with those around her.

Another one of Barbara’s passions was travel. She always had a bag packed and was ready to travel the world. And she did. Her kind heart and gentle spirit touched many, including wildlife of all kinds, as she was a devoted animal advocate.

Barbara was a loving sister, aunt and friend. She gave freely of her time, her laughter and her love.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her brother, George “Chip” Hobbs, sister in law Joy Hobbs of Miami Springs, Florida and her nephew Matthew Hobbs of Tampa, Florida as well as Junebug her loving cat.
