Born and raised in Washington Heights, Carlos carried those roots with him throughout his life, meeting each season with steady resolve, an open heart, and the kind of warmth that made people feel immediately at ease. A hard-working and devoted man, he gave of himself with quiet consistency, loyal in his commitments, thoughtful in his words, and generous in the ways that mattered most.
Carlos lived in Miami, Florida, where he built a life defined by love of family and a sincere concern for others. He was married to Lydia, and he was a proud dad to Xiomara. In his role as grandfather to Xixi, Carlos’s tenderness and steadfast presence shone through, reflecting a compassionate spirit that never sought recognition, only the comfort and happiness of those he loved.
Known for a gift of the gab and a well-timed sense of humor, Carlos could brighten a room without ever needing to be the center of it. His kind-hearted nature and selfless way of showing up for others. He had an adventurous streak for traveling to new places and having new experiences. He loved all sports as well as an avid collector of sport paraphernalia, helping others, dancing, landscaping, and overall enjoying life. These interests that reflected both his energy for life and his patient care for the people and things he nurtured.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Caballero Rivero Sunset, 7355 SW 117 Avenue, Miami, FL 33183, on July 29, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Caballero Rivero Dade South, 14200 SW 117 Avenue, Miami, FL 33186, on July 29, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
Carlos will be remembered as beloved and deeply devoted someone whose compassion, generosity, and loyalty were not simply qualities, but a way of moving through the world. His presence will be missed, and his memory will be carried forward with enduring respect and love.
