Carlos Raimundo Ramirez, 87, born January 23, 1939, in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba passed away on July 14, 2026. A resident of Miami, Florida, Carlos will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who were privileged to know him.
Throughout his life, Carlos carried himself with quiet bravery and steady resilience—meeting each season with resolve and offering those he loved a dependable presence. He was, above all, devoted to his family, and the strength of his care was felt in the way he showed up, remained constant, and gave himself without hesitation.
Carlos shared 45 years of marriage with Lydia Ramirez, and in a testament to the bond they built, although divorced, they remained friends until his transition. That lasting connection spoke to the depth of his love of family and the sincerity with which he valued the people closest to him.
He also found meaning and satisfaction in the work of his hands and the focus of his eye. He enjoyed photography, working on cars, and inventing things—interests that reflected patience, determination, and a lifelong readiness to solve, build, and improve.
Carlos is survived by his daughters, Dulce Ramirez and Rosa Ramirez; his son, Carlos Ramirez; his ex-wife, Lydia Ramirez; his grandson, Charles Damon II; and his great grandchild, Becky Damon.
Visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 BIRD RD, MIAMI, FL 33155, on July 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 5400 SW 102nd Ave, Miami, FL 33165, on July 24, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
A Committal Service will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33172, on July 24, 2026, at noon.
