

Stribling, Carolyn Crane passed away Thursday June 28th 2012 after an extended decline of her earthly body. Born in Pascagoula, Mississippi on May 3, 1936. She grew up in Miami and attended Coral Gables High where she was an accomplished majorette with the marching band. She attended the University of Florida where she met and married the love of her life and husband , Dr. John Stribling. They have been married for 57 years. Carolyn was an animal lover and throughout her life ,loved and nurtured many. One of her greatest joys was the time that she spent with her horse "Cheyanne" and the nurturing care and training of her parrots, Watusi, Tauras and Raucus. She was an artist and lover of plants and animals. She was a long time member of the Ceramic League of Miami, The Miami Dental Auxiliary, and earned her Master Gardner's Designation. She will be greatly missed here on earth as her spirit lives on in eternal life in the house of the Lord. Preceded in death by her sister Elsie Savell, Brothers ,John Crane and Chuck Crane. She is survived by her husband Dr.John Stribling, Daughter Sally Stribling (Paul), Sons,Jim Stribling ( Allison),and John Stribling IV, grandchildren, John and Luke, James and Sarah Stribling as well as her Parrot Raucus and her beloved kitty's Blackie and Ming.
Family and friends will gather for a memorial service at Miami Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday July 3rd, visitation begins 11:00 AM 7355 SW 117th Ave, Miami, Fl 33183. Service will commence at 11:45 .followed by a graveside service at Miami Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center or other animal shelter or service.
