I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Carrie Soubal. She was an extraordinary woman—an inspiring leader, a devoted mother, and a truly admirable force within the State Attorney’s Office. I had the privilege of working under her leadership and always admired her integrity, strength, and unwavering dedication to justice and to those she mentored.

Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched, both professionally and personally. My heartfelt condolences go out to her beloved family. May you find comfort in the impact she made and the love she gave so freely.

My deepest condolences to Ray and the family. Carrie always shined bright, she was a wonderful wife, mother and a friend. We became friends on a cruise, we had the privilege of sitting at the same dinner table. We hit it off right away, Ray and I started yucking it up, while Carrie and George were the adults. We pretty much stuck together during the duration of the cruise. We laughed, drank, ate, and did it all over again the next day. We stayed in touch, as much as we could, them from Florida and us from Texas. Carrie my friend, I will always miss you, knowing that I will never see your beautiful face again. Rest in peace my beautiful friend, you will always have a piece of my heart, I love you.

I met Carrie in 1996 when I was transferred from Org. Crime/Narcotics to supervise the DUI/Traffic Unit.  Carrie was not afraid to work and worked 48 hours a day! Carrie was also a caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, aunt and many other roles within her family. Carrie did it all! I was amazed by Carrie’s loyalty to EVERYTHING and yes she never retired from any of those roles even the role of being a loyal, caring friend! I will miss her laugh and the look that she gave when she really wanted to scream or say are you kidding me! I will never forget the love in her eyes when talking about her family especially her parents, husband, daughters and grandchildren. The justice system lost a huge advocate and many of us lost a remarkable, smart, loving, generous friend whom we respected and admired! Carrie, until we meet again.. rest in peace with your beautiful smile and contagious laugh. Hug my mom, my sister and brother for me as they now have another wonderful person to chat with!! Carrie was one of the most wonderful person I have ever met. She knew exactly how to show love, compassion, and motivation to others. She will always be a remind of how much we should be good to each other and to cherish our family more.

Words cannot express my deepest sympathy in the loss of my dear colleague, mentor and Friend.  It was a great pleasure every day  to work alongside and enjoy time together with Caridad ( as I often called her), in County Court.  To me Carrie’s life can be summed up in  Proverbs 31; especially verses 29-31:  “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”  Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.  Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Momma Carrie, your entire family took me in a the young age of 16. You have all loved me like your very own till this very day.  You were always to attentive and involved in all family affairs. When Amanda was born, I was your house a lot and Amanda was always in your room hanging out. Then Budy and I became friends, and it was an unconditional amount of love and understanding. Carrie thank you for all that you did for me while I was growing up. So many times you and Ray babysat me while my mom had to work. I remember all the good times we had in the apartment. I remember playing frogger with Lizette and falling down the stairs in the town house. I have so many memories of us all going to the beach. All memories that I cherish. I share today's pain with the family as I know the void this beautiful soul is leaving! I was fortunate to meet Carrie back on 1989 when I first joined the SAO family. She was my first Administrator and since then, she became a women that I respected, admired and looked up to. To me, she embodied what an intelligent, self assured, determined and distinguished women I wanted to emulate. Through the years, I had the opportunity to interact with Carrie and as always, she was kind and full of wisdom. Today I grief her loss with her family as she will always hold a very special place in my heart. May she rest in eternal peace🙏

I never had the privilege of meeting Carrie Q. in person...but working with the amazing daughter she raised (Carrie Jr.), I can only imagine what a wonderful person she must have been! My deepest condolences go out to her family; may you all find peace through the grieving process, and joy in your memories of her.

There are no words.   Carrie was in a class by herself, giving everything she had to her family, friends, and community.  Her memory is a blessing.

Soubal, it was truly an honor working under your leadership, thank you for believing in me, and giving me an opportunity of a lifetime, and because of you, I was able to further my career. Our Traffic Department were truly a family, a force to be reckoned with. The many laughs, the smiles, and let’s not forget the many stories, “WOW” especially the one with Tony Nixon and I, we laughed our hearts out and still do. I had the great privilege of working with Carrie for the entire 21 years I spent at the SAO. She was a tremendous source of guidance, and always there for support. I learned countless lessons from her, whether work related or personal, and I was in awe of her commitment to her family, as well as her job.  
I hope and pray that her family finds comfort in the beautiful memories they have of her during this difficult time.

My condolences to Carrie's immediate & extended family, all of them wonderful people. Carrie was one of the most generous, loving, & helpful persons on the Earth. No one has done more for those closest to her than she, in the good times and bad, though she always knew how to laugh and have a good time. 
She would spend time with us in SAO's Fiscal division during the holidays, eventually sharing an office in our division for a time, becoming part of our crew. 
Thanksgiving & Christmas, she'd eat with us and bring her signature delicious Flan, participate in the Goofy Gift Exchange, oh man, we had so much fun! 
My Mother, my sister & I owe her our lives, as she had rescued us on more than one occasion. To us, she is and will always be family and our guardian Angel. 
I will love & miss her forever. RIP Carrie, I'm glad that we got a chance to say goodbye.

I'm in shock with this one and my heart is broken :(  I started at the Miami Dade State attorney's office back in 1992 and Carrie was my first administrator at CPP.  All I can say is, in all my years I had not met someone like Carrie. I learned so much from her and she taught me so much. She was the fairest, the most professional, the kindest person I've ever had the privilege of meeting and work with. I know she's in a better place and that gives me comfort. You will be sorely missed Carrie Soubal! much love to you and your family always!!
