

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of Carrie Q. Soubal's peaceful passing on May 3, 2025, at the age of 74. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Carrie led a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering strength.
Born on November 28, 1950, in Manhattan, New York, to Jose Luis and Nellie Quiñones, Carrie's life was deeply influenced by her strong family bonds and enduring love. Her romantic journey with Ramon began during their high school years in Brighton Beach, NY, culminating in their marriage on October 16, 1971, when Ramon finally won her heart. In the year that followed, Carrie and Ramon moved to Miami to expand the painting business Ramon's partnership with his father-in-law, Jose, had created. South Florida became their home for 53 wonderful years, where Carrie left a lasting impression on the community she passionately served.
Carrie dedicated her life to her family, her friends, and her community. Together with Ramon, she nurtured a family overflowing with love and cherished memories. She is survived by her loving husband, Ramon Soubal; her daughters, Lizette Soubal and Carrie Soubal Jr.; and her sister, Mary Logan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Lakhani.
Fondly renamed "Bella" by her first grandchild, Andre, who couldn't pronounce "abuela," Carrie embraced this name, which perfectly captured the beauty she brought into the lives of her grandchildren: Andre Revel, Krystal Revel, Ralph Lafosse Jr., Nicholas Soubal, Aiden Lafosse, and Nyla Soubal. Her great-grandchild, Malakhai Revel, also called her Bella.
Carrie devoted her career to the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, forming deep and lasting bonds with her colleagues, whom she regarded as family. Her professionalism and dedication left an indelible impact on everyone she worked with, inspiring her daughters and several family members to follow her path in public service.
Carrie delighted in spending time with her family, enjoying gatherings, cruising, and unwinding with her favorite Spanish soap operas. Her beloved Goldendoodle, Sonny, was a source of endless joy for her.
As the cornerstone of her family, Carrie was humble, passionate, and caring, offering comforting embraces filled with wisdom. Her legendary hugs and heartfelt advice were a testament to her kind nature. Her generous spirit and willingness to help those in need left a grounding presence, and her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved her.
Carrie's legacy of strength, love, and unwavering devotion will continue to illuminate the lives of those she touched.
