Charles Simon Hasseler

Charles Simon Hasseler was born on May 8th,1927 prematurely to Irene Elisabeth Hasseler and Charles Anthony Hasseler. He passed away on January 2,2025 at the age of 97. He lived a full and happy life serving with the City of Miami fire department for over 35 years retiring as Captain. On days off he enjoyed sailing on Biscayne Bay, backpacking through the Appalachian Mountains, or completing various home improvement projects and, in his younger years, roaming the streets of Coconut Grove interacting with all of its colorful characters. He was a Miami native that served his community by participating in various organizations throughout his lifetime. He helped form the Coral Gate Homeowners Association and served as its president.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Keidy Hasseler, his daughters Keidy, Irene, and Grace as well as his six grandchildren.

His service to the Miami community will be forever remembered in our hearts and minds. ♥
