Charlie Lowe, 89, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, in Miami, Florida. Born on January 31, 1937, in Kingston, Jamaica, Charlie was a proud Jamaican of Chinese heritage whose resilience, entrepreneurial spirit, and generosity touched many lives. From humble beginnings, he went on to found the hatchery Caribbean Broilers Limited and sell it. He later founded CharlesPak, an international footwear import and export business that spanned Jamaica, Haiti, Miami, Brazil, Taiwan, China, and Russia.
He was known for his compassion, helping others create opportunities, and his unwavering optimism.
He is survived by his brother, Edward Joseph Lowe; his siblings, Amoy Lowe, Gavin Lowe, Paula Lowe, Kenroy Lowe, Andra Lowe, and Valya Lowe; his children, Donald Lowe, Janette Lowe-Chung, Jason Lowe, Audley Lowe, Charles M. Lowe, and Suzanne Widor (née Lowe); his grandchildren, Ingrid Bond (née Lowe), Jonathan Lowe, Hannah Lowe, and Annika Widor; and his great-granddaughter, Esther Bond. Charlie will be remembered for his strength, generosity, quiet contentment, and enduring love for his family, whose lives continue to reflect the legacy he leaves behind.
A Viewing & Celebration of Life will be held at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117TH AVE, MIAMI, FL 33186, US, on July 31, 2026. The viewing will be from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm and the Celebration of Life to immediately follow from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
A Committal will take place at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South & Woodlawn Park Cemetery South, 11655 SW 117th Ave, Miami, FL 33186, US, on July 31, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
