Today, we gather not in mourning, but in celebration of a life well-lived, a century and two years marked by love, resilience, and grace. Born in 1922, Cira witnessed a world in flux, from the dawn of technological marvels to the flourishing of modern society. Through it all, she remained a steadfast beacon of strength and compassion.
As children, we marveled at her boundless energy and unwavering patience. She taught us the value of hard work and the importance of family and kindness. Her stories, often shared around the dinner table, were not just tales of the past but lessons in perseverance and faith. Each wrinkle on her face, each silver strand in her hair, told a story of a life dedicated to family and service.
Family and friends knew her as a woman of integrity, faith, and warmth. Her door was always open, her home a haven of comfort and hospitality. She had a unique way of making everyone feel special and loved.
Cira loved nothing more than gathering her family and friends around the table, where she would prepare feasts that filled the home with the aroma of love. Every meal she made and dish she served, was an expression of her deep care for those she held dear. For her, the true richness of life was found not in material wealth, but in the warmth and laughter shared with loved ones. She dedicated her life to family and teaching us to love God above all and that the greatest treasures are the bonds we build and the love we give.
Her Joy was evident No matter the situation. She was always a source of positivity and encouragement. Some of her favorite things were knitting, singing, dancing, and playing dominoes. And she was never shy about sharing her opinions or making comments that often made us smile.
Cira was married to Pablo Marino Corbo the love of her life for 49 years They built a family and a life filled with, laughter, and shared memories. Even after Pipo’s passing, Cira carried forward the strength and joy they cultivated together.
Her legacy is most vividly seen in her beloved family: five children, eleven grandchildren, She loved kissing and bragging about. "Mima," as she was known, adored cuddling her sixteen great-grandchildren and telling them stories on her lap. Abundant hugs and loving words were shared as she found out that great-grandchild #17 is due to arrive soon, filling her heart with joy. All of whom carry forward her spirit of generosity, love, and faith. A devoted believer of Jesus Christ, Cira’s life was a living testimony of her faith, which she lived out daily with grace.
As we reflect on her 102 years, we are reminded of the countless ways she touched our lives. Her journey may have ended, but her story continues through us. We honor her by living fully, loving deeply, and cherishing every moment, just as she did.
Dear Mima Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Te queremos mucho mucho grande como el cielo. Tu Amada Familia
