Claudio F. Ramos a husband, father, and businessman, passed away on January 1, 2026 in Miami, Florida. He was born in the small town of Palo Seco Cuba. He was the son of Fidel Ramos and Maria Pilar Ramos and the brother of Georgina Guererro and Graciela Macia.
Claudio lived an amazing life full of hard work, achievements, restarts, and successes. In his early years Claudio was actively immersed in the family ranching business that he was entrusted to run at an early age. His business expertise also included the engaged horseback handling of their livestock and even the roping of bulls when necessary.
When Claudio was 35 years old he and his beloved wife Margarita and four children, fled from Cuba, eventually settling in Miami in late December of 1963. Initially Claudio worked in factories, trained and worked as a welder and machine assembler. In the early 1970’s he went back to college at night and retrained, eventually becoming a HS Spanish Teacher for many years. Always looking to improve himself, while still teaching, Claudio acquired and fixed-up real estate properties. Through it all, his wife Margarita was by his side, encouraging and supporting all his ambitions.
Claudio was intellectually curious, a traveler, and loved reading about history. He instilled the values of strong work ethics and the importance of family. He was predeceased by Margarita, his beloved wife of almost sixty years in 2015. His legacy lives on through his four children: Fidel Ramos and his wife Liz Ramos; Margarita Ramos; Silvia Grove and her husband Keith Grove; and Luis Ramos and his wife Janet Ramos; and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his caring partner Dalida Ramos.
