Constance Hall Clifford, lovingly known as Polly, was born in August 1929 at Victoria Hospital in Miami, Florida, to Frederick Vernon Clifford and Constance Clifford. She was the younger sister of Vernon Mae Clifford, and the two shared a lifelong bond of love and friendship. They both graduated from Miami Edison Sr. High School.
On December 29, 1951, Polly married the love of her life, Rusty Boone, at Central Baptist Church, Miami, and began their family together
The defining quality of Polly’s life was her unwavering faith.
She believed deeply in the power of prayer and trusted God in every circumstance. She loved her church family and was a devoted member of North Hialeah Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
In recent years, she became a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale. Here she devoted her time to sewing care pillows for cancer patients at the area’s local hospitals.
Her favorite response to life’s challenges was, “It’s in the Lord’s hands.”
Polly will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Cliff, Randal, Cynthia, and Kenneth; her five grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Her steadfast faith, gentle spirit, and enduring love for her family will remain a lasting legacy to all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, our family requests that donations be given to First Presbyterian Church of Ft. Lauderdale Craft Ministry.
