Dania Granados, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Miami Beach on September 14, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 76 years old.
Born on January 7, 1949, in La Habana, Cuba, Dania carried with her the grace and strength of her homeland throughout her life. In her youth, she was a ballerina, and the poise and passion she brought to dance remained with her always. Later, she shared her joy of life through the simple pleasures she cherished—dancing, playing dominoes with loved ones, and immersing herself in books.
Dania was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Godofredo. She is survived by her devoted sons, Octavio and Augusto; her loving daughters-in-law, Megan and Florencia; and her treasured grandchildren, Gabriel, Ava, Leticia, Lucía, and Emilia, who will forever carry her warmth and joy in their hearts.
Those who knew Dania will remember her as kind, generous, and full of life. She embraced each day with laughter, love, and an open heart, touching everyone with her light. Her family and friends will continue to feel her presence in every story shared, every song danced to, and every game of dominoes played at the family table.
Her life was a beautiful example of resilience, joy, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed.
A religious ceremony will be held at St. Raymond of Penafort Catholic Church, 3475 SW 17th St, Miami, FL 33145, on September 19 at 9 am. A committal service will follow at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North, 3260 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33135, at 10:30 am on the same day.
