David Ruiz

My heart is broken to share that my wonderful brother, David Ruiz, has passed away July 31, 2026 at the age of 61; he was born April 19, 1965, in Puerto Rico to Epifanio Ruiz Sr., and Carmen E. Cruz. David resided in Princeton, Florida. David became my protector, my partner in crime, and my greatest supporter. We shared a bond filled with laughter, late-night talks, and endless support. He was passionate about fishing, guns, photography, country music, New York Yankees and the Knicks, in which he finally witnessed their victory this past June. David was a kind soul with a heart of gold, always there for family and friends. He loved God and his family especially his nieces and nephews. He also carried a profound love for his country throughout his life believing deeply in community service, freedom, and helping others. As a member of the NYPD school security, he played a vital role in keeping the children safe at High School of Fashion Industries. His presence in my life was a gift, and his memory will continue to guide me. He is survived by his older brothers Edwin and Edil and his younger brother Epi, sister in-law Isa and his nieces Erika, Ashley-Mar (future great niece Adelsie), Chelsea Jade with great nephew Killian, and nephews Edwin jr. and Justin Ruiz.

Visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117TH AVE, MIAMI, FL 33186, US, on August 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
