With hearts full of love and gratitude, we share the peaceful passing of our cherished father, abuelo, and great-grandfather, Eduardo Román Ruiz, who left us on July 30, 2025, at the age of 92. Born in 1933 in Santiago de Cuba, Eduardo lived a long, beautiful life filled with quiet strength, gentle wisdom, and unconditional love.

He was the heart of our family, a man whose presence brought warmth, comfort, and a sense of calm to everyone around him. He was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and a gentle great-grandfather whose love was felt in every hug, every smile, and every shared moment.

He showed his love not through grand gestures, but in the everyday moments…sitting with us in silence, listening intently, offering a reassuring glance, or simply being there when we needed him most. His love was steady, deep, and always present.

To us, he was more than our patriarch, he was our viejo. Whether gathered around his radio listening to his favorite talk shows or sharing stories from his youth, He always had a way of making us feel seen, heard, and deeply loved. He taught us the beauty of simplicity, the power of kindness, and the importance of family.

Surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Eduardo found his greatest joy in togetherness. His presence made every gathering feel like home, and his hugs carried a warmth that will never fade. He lived with grace and dignity, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion that will continue to guide us.

Eduardo Román Ruiz, our beloved Papi and Abuelo who was deeply loved and will be forever missed. His spirit lives on in the stories we share, the values he instilled, and the love that binds us.

A private memorial will be held in the coming days to celebrate his extraordinary life. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to honor Eduardo’s memory by spending time with those you love, sharing heartfelt stories, and living each day with the same kindness and grace he gave so freely.
