Born and raised in Miami, Eddy attended Westwood Christian School for his elementary and high school education, graduating in 1991. He attended Miami Dade Community College.
Eddy worked at Office Max as a Receiving Manager and at the Coca-Cola Company as a Warehouse Manager. His professional endeavors were cut short by his declining health. He valiantly fought 30 years of juvenile diabetes and 8 years of renal failure among other ailments, but his sense of humor and playful nature never abandoned him.
He is survived by his son William, 13, sister Betty and her husband Anibal, father Omar and his wife Jean, step brothers Alex and Michael and his wife Bequi, aunts and cousins. He will be remembered for his zest for life, the unconditional love for his only child William, and his endless generosity. He is surely driving a Fox Body Mustang in Heaven and looking down on as many sports events as possible. He will be missed and will live forever in our hearts.
A religious memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015 at 8:30 pm at St.Kevin Roman Catholic Church, 12525 S W 42nd St (Bird Road), Miami. A memorial contribution, in Eddy's name, can be made to The Diabetes Research Institute and/or The National Kidney Foundation.
