Elpidio Marcelino Perez, better known as Bobby, 88, of Miami, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026.
Bobby was born in Manhattan, New York, on September 21st, 1937, and grew up in Miami, Florida. He attended Miami High School and earned a college degree in engineering. He enlisted in the Air Force and was based at Homestead Air Force Base, where he served on active duty and was honorably discharged.
He then worked for the City of Miami Springs, Florida, as the tax assessor and Miami Springs Tax Collector. He later worked for the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser’s Office for 43 years, where he met his surviving wife Patricia Gertz Perez, they were married for 40 years.
Bobby was the father of five children: Melissa Arnaiz, with whom he is now reunited, Lenora Rackley, Rob M. Perez, Rik L. Perez, and Randal G. Perez. He also had his daughter-in-law, Desi, his son-in-law, Patxi Sr., and his son-in-law, Tim, all of whom he loved dearly. He had five cherished grandchildren: Marcelino, Patxi, Markel, Taylor, and Rachel.
Bobby loved spending time with his children and wife. He loved having the family together. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, movies, and especially dancing. Bobby was a great husband, father, and grandfather.
Services will be held on October 9, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Woodlawn South, located at 11655 SW 117th Ave., Room D.
The ceremony will be held in front of the pond on October 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.
