Emilia Lopez of Miami, Florida, died the morning of May 17, 2026. She was born in Santiago de las Vegas, Cuba and in 1964, immigrated to the United States in search of a better future and where she met her beloved husband Bonifacio “Toto” Lopez.
Through every challenge life placed before her, she carried herself with grace, faith and love. She devoted her life to being a caregiver to her family. She loved animals, shopping, reading the Bible, and most of all, spending time with her grandsons.
Preceded in death by her husband and daughter Lizette Lopez, she is survived by her brother Ramon Suarez, daughter Elizabeth Lopez Calvit and grandsons George Cepero and Benjamin Calvit along with many cousins, friends and loved ones whose lives she touched forever.
A Graveside Service will be held at Vista Memorial Gardens, 14200 NW 57 Avenue, Miami Lakes, Florida 33014, on June 9, 2026, at 11:30 am.
