Erika Cristine Spaide

Erika C. Spaide peacefully passed away on April 27, 2013 at home with her loving family surrounding her. Erika was diagnosed with Batten Disease when she was just 5 years old. She courageously battled every day with different obstacles thrown her way and far outlived any prognosis originally given to her. Despite her limitations, Erika loved life, music, horses and spending time with her two best friends, her mother Kim and sister Gina. Erika was a charming, happy, determined and strong-willed little girl that never allowed the disease to overshadow the beautiful person she was on the inside and out. Surviving are Erika’s mother Kim and sister Gina. Services to celebrate Erika’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Memorial Plan Kendall, located at 7355 SW 117th Avenue, Miami, FL 33183. The family encourages guests to wear their brightest colors to commemorate the colorful and fulfilled life of Erika.
