September 4, 1930 – September 3, 2022
Erno V. Rosa, age 91, passed away on September 3, 2022, in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He was born in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, to the late Lino Rosa and Angela Rosa, who were born and wed in Italy. Erno was an only child and he remained single. He was the last survivor in the Rosa family lineage. Erno studied civil engineering at the University of Florida where he was a member of the gymnastic team. He joined the U.S. Air Force and attained the rank of Captain. He was employed by the City of Miami Public Works Department, and he retired after over 30 years of dutiful service. His passions include sailing, boat building, investing in the stock market, eating out at restaurants, and feeding the animal friends that visited him in his backyard. His two cats Callie and Snuggles were always by his side.
Erno was a kind, gentle soul. His close friends Marie, Ester, Betty, Dave, Bob, Pete, Marlene and Tim, Shorty, and the three very special women in his life, Angela, Nancy, and Mary Jane, all deeply loved him. His caretakers Norma, Sophia, Andrea, Lurline, and Joe all enjoyed being a part of his life, and he in turn was very grateful for everything they did for him. Everyone will deeply miss Erno.
A visitation for Erno will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Caballero Rivero Little Havana Funeral Home, located at 3344 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135.
