Passed away on 07.26.2025 in Miami, FL.
Heaven has gained a beautiful and shining soul. My mom was full of joy and strength. She taught us to find beauty in everyday things and to cherish happiness. She taught us to appreciate and be proud of our Cuban roots. Through her stories, music, and memories, she passed on a deep love for Cuba — its spirit, its warmth, its soul. Losing her feels like losing a part of our heritage and our island. She was a link to all that came before us. Her legacy lives on in every story of her we share, video of her we watch, in every Cuban song I hear, every flavor, and every embrace.
She loved her “clínica”, dominoes, tend to her garden, and cook her favorite dishes. She loved finding mangoes and avocados on the sidewalk and bringing them home and showing them to us. She loved to dance, to dialogue, to read the newspaper, her cuban coffee and to sew. However, of everything she loved, we knew she loved us and our dad most of all! I am so proud to be her daughter. Her light is forever part of us.
