Eva Diez, age 93, formerly of Havana Cuba, passed away on February 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Justino Diez, her parents Maria Luisa and Julian Romeau, and her sisters and brother – Silvia Girona, Alicia Gonzalez, Aida Conesa and Julian Romeau. She is survived by her son Jose Diez, and his wife Nicole, and her daughter Eva Gannett, and her husband, Richard, as well as her grandchildren –Daniel Diez, Gabriel Diez, Cristina Gannett, and Ricky Gannett.
Tia Eva adored her many nephews and nieces. They all had a special relationship with her, which extended to their spouses, and their own children. Eva was a school teacher in Cuba. In Miami, she worked for many years in the former Twins Swimsuit factory where she made life long friends whom she cherished. Our memory of her will be her incredible love of family, and the strength she showed in facing challenges with great faith, and love. Services will be held at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Funeral Home, on Tuesday, February 8, and burial on Wednesday, February 9th.
