Felipe “Papu” S Tapia Cedeno, 83, was born in Panama on October 28, 1942, and passed away on June 3, 2026. Papu resided in Miami, Florida, and will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who had the privilege to know him.
For 56 years, Papu shared a devoted marriage with the love of his life, Querube Tapia. His steady presence in the lives of those closest to him was marked by compassion, patience, and a generosity of spirit that made others feel cared for and understood. Above all, Papu loved his family—faithfully, wholeheartedly, and without reservation.
Papu’s warmth was often expressed through humor. A natural joker, he had a way of lightening the moment and bringing people together with a well-timed laugh. His interests reflected both curiosity and joy: he enjoyed gaming and electronics, found peace in fishing, and took pleasure in taking photos—capturing simple scenes and everyday memories that became lasting treasures.
Papu is survived by his beloved spouse, Querube Tapia; his son, Felipe S Tapia III; his daughter-in-law, Kimberly Tapia; his daughter, Isabelle Keeslar; his son in law, Erik Keeslar; his daughter, Griselle; his son in law, Dr. Nik Pyrsopolous; and 6 grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
Papu’s life was defined by devotion—to his family, to the bonds he nurtured over a lifetime, and to the quiet, meaningful ways he showed love. His memory will remain a source of comfort and gratitude to those who carry him in their hearts.
