Ferdinand Morales Arcay

Ferdinand Morales Arcay, age 76, passed away on March 29, 2023, in Elk Grove, CA after a three-year battle with multiple myeloma. His wife of 48 years, Maria Otilia (Tily) and youngest son, Eduardo, along with family friends were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. Ferdinand was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on December 22, 1946. He attended the College of Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and graduated with a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering. Ferdinand had a very successful career in Civil Engineering, working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 36 years before retiring in 2014.

Ferdinand was the North Star to his family. He was a man of great faith, a devoted husband, and a father that modeled excellence for his children and grandchildren. Ferdinand was always faithful to his family, worked hard to ensure his family never lacked anything, was an ardent giver of his time and resources to anyone who was in need, and exhibited wisdom and faith in everything he did. While he will be remembered for many great things, his family will remain eternally grateful to Ferdinand for giving them the gift of what is to know the Lord and form a beautiful relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Ferdinand is survived by his wife, Maria Morales; his three children and respective spouses, Fredeswinda (Winda) and Carlos Huezo, Ferdinand Jr. and Rebeca Morales, and Eduardo Morales; his five grandchildren, Aaliyah Morales, Carlos (Carlitos) Huezo, Diego Huezo, Camila Elyse Morales, and Eliana Valeria Morales; and three siblings Migdalia Naranjo, Pedro Morales, and Aida Mejia.

Ferdinand is predeceased by his father, Juan Ramon Morales Torres; his mother, Ada Alicia Arcay Vega; and his sister Irma Morales.

A visitation for Ferdinand will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186. A burial will occur Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186.
