
George was predeceased by his son Barry Philip Holmes, his father George Sr., his mother Devera, his 2 sisters-Jean Cowan and Margaret Smith, his Mother-In-Law Mary Vernon Pinion, and her Parents.
George is survived by his wife and the “Love-Of-His-Life” Charmaine for almost 66 years, his daughter, Michele Powers, her husband Scott, and with George’s granddaughter RaeAnn Thompson, her husband Justin, sons Brecken and Adler, his daughter-in-law Pammy Holmes, granddaughter Merissa Danielson, great granddaughter Adella Brehmer, and grandson Ryley Gajeski, his wife Amber, and their children Jenna, Octavia, and Conrad.
George was affectionately called “The Mayor of 92nd Avenue” and was a friend to all. He always had a positive attitude and was the happiest man one could ever meet. He loved playing golf with anyone and enjoyed good wine.
A graveside service will be held at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South & Woodlawn Park Cemetery South, 11655 SW 117th Ave, Miami, FL 33186, US, on July 20, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
Internment will take place at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South & Woodlawn Park Cemetery South, 11655 SW 117th Ave, Miami, FL 33186, US, on July 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
